Waters
The waters of the Antarctic Ocean ranges from -2 to 10 degrees C (28-50 degrees F). These temperatures vary so much because the Antarctic Ocean ranges from the frigid waters of Antarctica to the warmer waters of the sub-antarctic. The waters reach a maximum depth of 4,500m, having an average salinity level of 3.5% and varying light levels by season because of its geographical location. Unfortunately the Antarctic Environment is in danger because of Human Impact (See Human Impact Page) and the temperatures are rising, cloroflourocarbons are causing mutations and the sea ice is melting.
